We have been to Masis Bakery in Burbank and Montrose, California a few times since my review in the Burbank Leader was published. We have always received friendly, helpful service. The pastries and confections are superb. It definitely reminds me of a European bakery. Each and every pastry is a work of art. More importantly however, everything tastes wonderful.
Most of these elegant pastries are layered with cake and cream. The flavors are bold and exactly what is described. My favorite are the mini tarts layered with a shortbread crust, cream, and fruit. Check out the red current mini tart for a perfect mix of sweet and sour. It melts in your mouth. And at 0.60 cents each, you will not break the bank or your diet for a sweet confection.
